Building or refurbishing a house? We understand that this is likely to be the biggest project of your lives and we'd love to assist you through the process.
We've developed a simple pricing structure to get you from the start to the end of your project with our input tailored flexibly to your specific needs.
The following prices have been provided to give you an idea of our fees for a typical domestic new-build/refurbishment project. As no two buildings are the same, we can provide you with specific prices based on your project following an initial consultation. If you do choose to commission us to undertake any of the following, there is no obligation to commission us to undertake any further work should you wish not to do so. We promise that we wont be offended!
Get in touch with us via email or via telephone for a free, no obligation, informal consultation regarding your project. Following this consultation we can recommend to you the best approach to move your project forward to suit the needs of your project and your budget.
Following our initial consultation, we recommend that we undertake a discovery meeting local to your project, where we can discuss things in detail, answering any questions you may have, dispelling any myths, and building a picture as to how your building will need to to meet your needs. We can then offer solutions as to how to heat the building, how to make sure the building is suitably ventilated, how to provide hot water, and how to deal with the electrical services.
Here is where we start to talk about sustainability - Will your building benefit from a solar photovoltaic (PV) panel array? Is an air source heat pump (ASHP) a good fit for your building? Is underfloor heating the right way to go? We can also guide you through the new renewable/sustainable energy technologies that are available in an attempt to minimise your energy bills and Carbon footprint.
After our discovery meeting, you'll need to start thinking about getting some contractors on board to install what we've discussed. If your design is simple enough this could take the form of a scope of works document. This will give you a document and some supplementary sketch drawings to send to contractors to ensure that they are all pricing the same information allowing you to compare and ultimately select a contractor.
Not comfortable comparing or selecting a contractor yourself? We can help! Let us do the leg work for you giving you a simple summary and our recommendations.
If you're planning something complex, or if you have something very specific in mind, we'd be happy to undertake a full design for you. See our 'design' tab at the top of our page which should give you a good idea of what we can offer. Costs will obviously vary for this depending on the level of information you require.
Want someone to keep an eye on the installation on site? Again we can help. We can visit site once, twice, or as regularly as you would like to keep an eye on things. We can provide summary reports, and even undertake comprehensive 'snagging' towards the completion of the project. We can undertake these services based on an hourly rate plus travel expenses.
As we do not sell any products directly, you can rest-assured that the advice we offer is independent, impartial, and not governed by any external marketing factors.
The world is changing, and so is the way we use energy. If you want to future-proof your building to ensure its capable of meeting the upcoming demands and targets, we'd love to discuss this with you.
